Finally a few pictures though this has to be very quick because my internet cafe time is almost up. The first is the little street where I live. My door is just behind the little orange bread stand. The second is my host mother proudly showing off a massive meal, then a picture of a village hut in the mangrove park we visited and then an island we went to ( its a bad picture but I accidentally clicked on it and then didn't have time to change). So although my time is almost up here, I now know that I can add pictures in the future - tomorrow or after the weekend. much love!

Wahoo! Pictures!! Little windows into your world!
ReplyDeleteThese are great, even the island one (at least gives a sense of the island and shows the beautiful color of the sea). Maman Amitie has such a kind, sweet face. Please give her a hug from me.(Is hugging part of the culture, btw?)
Can't wait for more of these! Good luck with your excursion up to Saint Louis this weekend.
Love you so much!

(And if anyone can help me out with directions on how I can emerge from being "Anonymous Mom",
I'd appreciate it! With everything I try I get the message "Your request could not be processed." Am feeling pretty silly, but better anonymous than absent....)
Yay, thanks for the pics! I finally understand what you meant about the sidewalks..I think i was picturing something much different. Maman Amitie does indeed look sweet! Do you ever get to wear those kind of clothes?? Natasha- I comment under "google account" if you have gmail you can use this one, then you can comment using whatever name you would like (i think) ...

It looks amazing over there and I hope you are having a blast! I love the pictures and I want your host mother and the ocean and these crazy streets you speak of..anyhow you should be watching the State of the Union with me and Lindsay over here, spending Spring Break in good ol' Ann Arbor : )
ReplyDeleteAshley and Eugenia are on a cruise and Joelle has run off with her (sexy) Dutch lover and Kyra is on a road trip to NYC and DC. That's about all..oh the futon downstairs is bent in half, that's new, aftermath of the EuroParty, not cool.
Miss ya lady!!
